I have been religious with my cleansing routine for a long time now, but I recently added a new step that has changed my skin and I am excited to share!
My first step is removing all my makeup with reusable cleansing wipes from The Original Makeup Eraser and a cleansing water (micellar water) from Sephora. I have completely stopped using disposable cotton pads and have replaced them with these reusable puffs and soft cloths that can remove makeup even with water. I find them a lot more efficient at removing makeup and combining them with the micellar water, they remove most of my makeup at the first step.
Next, I use a cleansing oil to remove any makeup left behind. This is a step I added recently and I will never go back! I have found this step to make such a huge difference on my skin. I love the Mara Chia + Moringa Algae Enzyme Cleansing Oil. I massage it on my face for one to two minutes and wash it off with water at the end. My face feels so clean and soft and it removes every bit of my makeup left. It contains fruit enzymes that gently exfoliate and visibly brighten my skin as well as superfoods that hydrate my skin. Highly recommended and I would definitely repurchase.
Finally, I like to use a gel cleanser to thoroughly remove dirt, oil, SPF and makeup to unclog my pores without stripping my skin. I have been using the Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta AHA/BHA Cleansing Gel for years and I love it because all the AHAs and BHAs help clean my pores the best. Visible pores are my main skincare concern and I have noticed that when I skip steps from my routine, my skin feels the consequences - my pores are not as clean and my skin is more dull and uneven, which is why I do not mind being a little extra when it comes to this part of my skincare. I do change the get cleansers up and I have some other ones that I love and find very effective as well. Should I make a post about my favorite ones?
I would love to know what products you use in your everyday routine below!
xoxo
